Each year Council undertakes a survey of residents to find out their views on its performance. The survey results are an important part of Council's performance management system as most of its services sets targets for resident satisfaction in the Long Term Plan.
Participants in the survey are selected at random, but quotas are used to ensure the group reflects the population in terms of gender, age and where they live.
