Ecological Threat Programme
The ecological threat programme identifies a range of invasive plant and animal species that are identified as actual or potential threats to Marlborough's biodiversity values. While these species are not declared as pests, voluntary control initiatives are encouraged, primarily focusing on a site-led management approach. This programme is aligned closely to the Significant Natural Areas project and advice on how to manage these species is available by contacting Council.
