African Feather Grass

African feather grass is declared a total control pest plant throughout the Marlborough reegion.  It has a limited distribution and density and the long term goal is to eradicate this weed from the district. The Marlborough District Council will carry out all the control work required for this pest.  Sites are visited by biosecurity staff at regular intervals to ensure all infestations are controlled before they seed, reducing infestation size and eventually leading to their eradication.

African feather grass is banned from sale, propagation, distribution or commercial display. Should you see this plant please report it immediately to the Marlborough District Council which will arrange for its control.
