Environmental Education

Marlborough District Council runs waste minimisation and environmental education programmes.

Programmes:

• Education Programmes For Schools And School Age Children
  We have developed a number of programmes which are curriculum linked where possible.

 

• Enviroschools
  A programme focused on creating more sustainable schools, which focuses on four key areas:  place, programme, practices and people.

 

• Sustainable Living
  The Sustainable Living programme has great ideas on how to take actions around our homes to make a positive difference for our environment.

 

• Community Information
  There are a number of pamphlets to help you help the environment, from composting to natural alternatives for your home and garden.

 

• Marlborough Environment Awards
  The Marlborough Environment Awards were established in the late 1990s to recognise and reward good environmental management in a range of industries and enterprises.

 

• Business and Industry Programmes
  Council can link you to a number of programmes.
