Status
As demand on our groundwater resources grows, there is increasing interest in its state and any trends over time. For example, irrigators need to know how full the aquifer they are pumping from is over summer, while the Council keeps a constant watch to ensure consented limits are not exceeded.
This part of the website contains information to help the public or water users understand the state of a particular aquifer and whether there are any issues.
