Harbourmaster Directions

A Harbourmaster's Direction is issued by the Harbourmaster to enforce compliance with specific requirements or instructions made in the interests of safety of navigation within Marlborough District Council harbour Limits. Any direction issued maybe of a permanent nature for subsequent inclusion in the local Navigation Safety Bylaws or be of a temporary nature to cover a specific event or occurrence.

The Harbourmaster is empowered to enforce any such Directions made, under Section 650c of The Local Government Act 2002.

	Direction Number 2010/02 (213 Kb) - 10 September 2010 - Under keel clearance requirements and night time restrictions for vessels transiting the Northern Approach Channels to Queen Charlotte Sound.
