Environmental

Environmental Responsibility
Marlborough District Council has committed to being responsible hosts for any new initiatives within the region.

The Council is working on an Environmental Responsibility Programme with the NZ2011 Office who is helping run Rugby World Cup 2011, New Zealand tournament.

Team

Host Team
Marlborough will host the Russian Rugby team. Russia lost to Georgia 36-8 in the last round of the European Nations Cup confirming them as 'Europe 2'.

Games
While no Rugby World Cup 2011, New Zealand games are being played in Marlborough, it is the ideal base.
