Energy Efficiency

An energy efficient home will save you money and help our environment. They are more comfortable to live in, being warmer and drier year round. Which has a major impact on the health of the people who live there.

Becoming energy efficient in your home is simple and there are plenty of ways to start. The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority’s (EECA) Energywise website offers lots of advice on energy efficiency plus information on financial assistance.

Marlborough District Council is also providing programmes to assist in creating energy efficient homes.

Heat Smart Programme - Insulation And Clean Heating

Council is participating in the EECA's home insulation and clean heating scheme, by providing financial assistance to help fund that proportion of the costs not covered by an EECA grant.
