Marlborough Environment Awards
The Marlborough Environment Awards have been held every two years since 1997 to recognise and reward working examples of good environmental management of Marlborough's natural resources. While the focus has been on rural businesses and enterprises, from 2006 they will also incorporate urban commercial and industrial enterprises.
The Awards are supported by a number of Trustee organisations and sponsors.
Judging of properties and enterprises occur over the summer months followed by an Awards presentation dinner and series of field days on the winning properties in Autumn.
Categories include winegrowing/horticulture, farming, forestry, innovation, efficiency, habitat enhancement and a landscape award.
