Road Safety

Photo of Motorcycle on road from drivers perspetive. Marlborough District Council has a road safety role in Marlborough and delivers a series of road safety programmes and education activities in partnership with the community. These are designed to improve the awareness of road safety and sustainable transport.

The programmes are a mix of education material, road safety training (ie; for cyclists, motorcyclists, young/older drivers, etc...) and campaigns to increase public awareness of safe road travel.

Interesting and Useful Information

The ACC has produced a safe driving map for the top of the South Island that highlights road crash high risk areas. Copies of the map are available at the Marlborough District Council.

NZTA has identified two areas of high focus for the Marlborough region.
