Road Safety

Photo of Motorcycle on road from drivers perspetive. Marlborough District Council has taken over the road safety role for Marlborough and will deliver a series of road safety programmes and education activities in partnership with the community. These will be designed to improve the awareness of road safety and sustainable transport.

The programmes will be a mix of education material, road safety training (ie; for cyclists, motorcyclists, young/older drivers, etc...) and campaigns to increase public awareness of safe road travel.

Interesting and Useful Information

No matter how you use our roads, you’ll find something of interest in the Safer Journeys in Marlborough leaflet.

The ACC has produced a safe driving map for the top of the South Island that highlights road crash high risk areas. Copies of the map are available at the Marlborough District Council.
