Aquatic Centre

Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000. The Aquatic Centre is more than just a just a pool; it’s a leisure destination. With some new facilities now open and more under development, there’s something for the whole family, year-round.

Indoors, the new 25 metre lane pool provides plenty of room for those wanting to work on their fitness. A separate leisure pool is a great place for families to relax. There’s plenty specifically for the kids too, with new toddlers’ pools and a lazy river offering hours of fun.

New features currently under development are a sauna and a special spa/hydrotherapy pool.

Some existing features from the original Aquatic Centre will be upgraded. The learners’ pool is being given a fresh, new look and the existing indoor pool is being revamped into a 25 metre, eight lane lap pool.

Outdoors, a new, five-lane 25 metre lap pool will replace the old pool and a children’s 0-depth area will cater to the youngest family members.

Numerous swim classes and other programmes are run at the centre, catering for all ages and fitness levels. It is run by a community trust on behalf of Council.
