Pelorus at Totara Flat
Situated half-way between Blenheim and Nelson, Totara Flat is just downstream from the Pelorus Bridge. A deep swimming hole with slow-moving water and a grassy picnic area are surrounded by bush.
The average yearly rainfall is 2,000mm. Water quality is affected by rainfall and intensive dairy farming in the catchment above the site. Camping is not permitted at this site.
