Working Dogs

Working dogs must be registered. They include:

• dogs used for herding or driving stock
• disability assist dogs 
• police dogs
• custom dogs
• conservation dogs
• companion dogs 

If you consider your dog is used solely or principally for herding or driving stock, you will need to apply for working dog status. Complete the Working Dog Status Form and send it to Animal Control:

An Animal Control Officer may contact you and ask to see your dog working.
