Havelock

Havelock Cemetery is an historic cemetery with a commanding view of the developing Havelock port and the tidal estuary protected by the hills beyond.

Some grave fixtures are unique within New Zealand and well worth viewing if you are in the region. The original (somewhat unique) sexton’s shed has been rescued from a state of disrepair and is now an attractive gazebo, providing visitors to the cemetery with a sheltered place to rest.
