Resource Consent Application U061021
Marlborough District Council was granted for a resource consent to discharge stormwater from the Adams Lane and Rose Street catchments to Murphys Creek. The consent expires in 2012 and its purpose is to provide for the disposal of stormwater from a developing catchment, in the short term, while options for upgrading the stormwater system in the longer term are finalised.
Report
Report prepared in support of resource consent application U061021:
U061021 Adams Lane/Rose Street addendum to stormwater (1.4 Mb)
Scenario Diagrams
The scenario diagrams included within the report are better viewed individually. The scenarios represent different development possibilities and the consequences of these for the discharge of stormwater.
There are five scenarios. In all five a 2002 aerial photo of the areas provides a common base. Coloured shading and hatching depicts different development scenarios. The existing stormwater network (pipelines and manholes) is also shown, together with the options for upgrading it.
The inset is a blow-up, to show more detail of the design flows and the discharge point to the upper reaches of Murphy's Creek. This occurs at point A, adjacent to Middle Renwick Road.
Scenario 5 is the subject of resource consent application U061021.
Particulars of the various scenarios are as follows:
Scenario 1 (185 Kb)
This figure shows the stormwater infrastructure (network) as it is presently in the Adams Lane/Rose Street area.
Scenario 2 (185 Kb)
This figure shows the location and extent of residential development allowed in the Rose Street area (hatched) with no upgrade to existing stormwater infrastructure.
Scenario 3 (190 Kb)
This figure shows the extent of residential development allowed in the Rose Street area as depicted in Appendix I to Volume 2 of the Proposed Wairau Awatere Resource Management Plan (PWARMP). No upgrade to the stormwater network is shown.
Scenario 4 (205 Kb)
This figure shows the extent of residential development allowed in the Rose Street area as depicted in Appendix I to Volume 2 of the Proposed Wairau Awatere Resource Management Plan (PWARMP) - plus the area to the west of Rose Street as proposed in Variation 38 to the PWARMP. No upgrade to the stormwater network is shown.
Scenario 5 (188 Kb)
This is the subject of resource consent application U061021. This figure shows residential development as proposed in a subdivision application (ref Scenario 2) and allowed in the Rose Street area as depicted in Appendix I to Volume 2 of the Proposed Wairau Awatere Resource Management Plan (pWARMP). An upgrade to the existing stormwater network is shown.
