This project sets out to provide planning for prospective urban growth for the 25 year period, from the 2006 census through to 2031.
The strategy that emerges from this work will provide direction for both the public and the private sectors, as they plan their contribution to Marlborough’s future, at a day to day level and beyond.
The Growth Project is being carried out in three distinct stages.
The Blenheim Urban Design Strategy project intends to guide the revitalisation of Blenheim CBD as the main service centre for the province of Marlborough. This will increase the wellbeing of the whole local community, and bolster the local economy by ensuring our major town meets the needs of local people.
