Decision Meetings - April - June 2011
The Southern Marlborough Urban Growth and Development Strategy has progressed through the strategy development, public consultation and decision phases. The strategy encompasses development in Marlborough over the next 20 years. The projects identified in the strategy will gradually be implemented over this period of time.
What happens next?
The decisions relating to the Southern Marlborough Urban Growth Strategy will be included in a final decision document once decisions on the Northern Marlborough Urban Growth Strategy have been made.
The final document is anticipated to be adopted by Council in November 2011. Following this, implementation of the various projects will commence.
For zoning related issues the sites included in the final decision document will be subject to further public consultation when the District Plan review process takes place in 2012.
For other issues included in the final decision document, further public consultation is likely to take place as strategies for these projects are developed and become part of future Annual Plan consultations.
