Friday 7 November 2014 - 2014 NZ Silver Fern Rally Test Day

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that Pukaka Valley Road 360m from the intersection and Pembers Road, to the end of legal Council Road on Pukaka Valley Road, is proposed to be closed to all vehicular traffic on Friday 7 November 2014 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm for the purpose of the Marlborough Car Club Silver Fern Rally test day.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 29 October 2014 at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the following roads will be closed for the conduct purposes of the special stages for the NZ Silver Fern Rally.

Garden Marlborough Fête

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342, notice is given that the following roads will be closed to all vehicles between the hours of 6.15 am to 5.15 pm 

  • High Street between Seymour Street and Henry Street (6.15 am to 5.15 pm)
  • Seymour and Henry Streets between Alfred Street and High Street (6.15 am to 5.15 pm);

and

  • Alfred Street between Henry Street and Seymour Street (from 12 noon to 5.15 pm)
  • No Stopping east side of Andrew Street between High Street and Alfred Street

on Sunday 9 November 2014, for the purpose of the Garden Marlborough Fête 2014.

Tuesday 11 November 2014 - Armistice Day Commemoration Service

Notice is hereby given under Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974 that Seymour Street from the intersection of High Street to Alfred Street will be closed to all vehicles between the hours of 10.30 am and 12.15 pm on Tuesday, 11 November 2014, for the purpose of the Armistice Day Commemoration Service.

Also please note that there will be no parking in Seymour Street from the intersection of High Street to Alfred Street from 8.00 am to 12.15 pm.

Sunday 30 November 2014 - Kinross Street

Women's Triathlon

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that
Kinross Street between Redwood Street and Scott Street, Blenheim, (also the MDC car parking beside Smith City and Top Town Cinema) are proposed to be closed on Sunday 30 November 2014 from 5.00 am to 12.00 noon for the purpose of the Women’s Triathlon.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Mistletoe Market

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that:

  • High Street, Blenheim from the intersection of Seymour Street and Market Street North.
  • Market Street North, Blenheim from the intersection of High Street to the courtesy crossing opposite Le Cupp Café.
  • Wynen Street, Blenheim from the intersection of Market Street to First Lane.
  • Queen Street, Blenheim from the intersection of High Street to Charles Street.
  • Charles Street, Blenheim from the intersection of Kings Lane to Market Street.
  • Arthur Street, Blenheim from the intersection of Kings Lane to Market Street.
  • Market Street, Blenheim from the intersection of Maxwell Road to High Street.

are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic on Saturday 6 December 2014 between the hours of 6.00 am to 3.00 pm for the purpose of the Mistletoe Market.

Christmas Parade and Christmas Cracker Festival

Pursuant to the Transport (vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that on Saturday 6 December 2014 the following Blenheim streets are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm for the purpose of the Christmas Parade.

  • John Street - from the intersection of Henry Street to Hutcheson Street
  • Seymour Street - from the intersection of Alfred to John Street.

Parking prohibition:

Parking of vehicles will be prohibited between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm in the following streets being the route of the parade.

  • Hutcheson Street from John Street to Alfred Street
  • Alfred Street between Seymour Street and Market Street North
  • Seymour Street between John Street to High Street
  • High Street from Seymour Street to Market Street
  • Queen Street from High Street to Maxwell Road
  • Maxwell Road from Queen Street to Market Street
  • Market Street from Maxwell Road to Alfred Street.

Further notice is given that at the completion of the parade, the following streets are proposed to be closed from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm for the purpose of the Christmas Cracker Festival.

  • Charles Street between Seymour Street through to Queen Street.

The Noel Leeming and Bayleys carparks will remain accessible.

The Queen Street carpark will be closed to the public from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm to allow set up for the event.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
