Friday 12 February 2016

Marlborough Wine and Food Market Day 2016

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that on Friday 12 February 2016 from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, the following streets are to be closed for the purposes of the Marlborough Wine and Food Market Day 2016.

  • Market Street from Main Street to High Street.
  • Charles Street from Market Street to Kings Lane
  • Arthur Street from Market Street to Kings Lane
  • Wynen Street from First Lane to Market Street.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February 2016

Cornerstone Bar Street Party Event

Notice is hereby given under Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974 that the intersections of Queen and George Streets through to the intersection of Queen Street and Maxwell Road, Blenheim, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 5.00 pm on Saturday 13 February 2016 to 3.00 am on Sunday 14 February 2016, for the purpose of the Cornerstone Bar Street Party Event.

Sunday 21 February 2016 - Cloudy Bay Industrial Estate

Car Club Racing

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the following roads listed within the Cloudy Bay Industrial Estate are to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic on Sunday 21 February 2016 from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm for the purposes of motor car racing.

  • Cloudy Bay Drive
  • Chandler Close
  • Winefair Close
  • Seafair Close

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Sunday 13 March - Tuamarina Road

Marlborough Car Club Annual Tuamarina Track Sealed Sprint

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that Tuamarina Road 1.5 km from intersection with Bush Road to the intersection with Waikakaho Valley Road is proposed to be closed to all vehicular traffic on Sunday 13 march 2016 from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm for the purpose of the Marlborough Car Club Annual Tuamarina Track Sealed Sprint.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 14 February 2016, at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.
