Alfred Street from Henry Street to Seymour Street and Seymour Street from High Street to Alfred Street, Blenheim - Saturday 1 April 2017

On Saturday 1 April 2017 the following streets will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm for the purpose of the RNZAF Charter Parade.

Alfred Street from Henry Street to Seymour Street; and

Seymour Street from High Street to Alfred Street.

Notice is also given that parking will be prohibited and cars will be removed from 6.00 am to 1.30 pm in Seymour Street from High Street to John Street and Alfred Street from Henry Street to Seymour Street.

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is hereby given under Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974.

Temporary Road Closure 1 April 2017 - RNZAF Charter Parade.


High Street from Inkerman Street to Alma Street, Renwick

High Street from Inkerman Street to Alma Street, Renwick, is proposed to be closed on Tuesday 25 April 2017 from 8.40 am to 9.40 am for the purpose of the Anzac Day Commemoration Service.

An alternative signposted detour route will be available via Inkerman, Havelock and Alma Streets during the closure.

Strictly no parking in High Street from Inkerman to Alma Streets from 5.00 am to 9.40 am.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 7 April 2017, at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.

Market Street between Wynen Street and High Street, Blenheim - Friday 12 May 2017

Saint Clair Street Food Event

On Friday 12 May 2017 the followings road is proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the purposes of the Saint Clair Street food event.

Market Street between Wynen Street and High Street between the hours of 12.00 noon and 12.00 midnight.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic safety branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds in writing before 14 April 2017 at the office of Marlborough Roads, Level 1, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim or PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7201.

Giffords Road, O'Dwyers Road and Thomsons Ford Road, Blenheim - 13 May 2017

Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon

On Saturday 13 May 2017 the followings roads are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the purposes of the Saint Clair half marathon:

Giffords Road Blenheim between the hours of 9.00 am and 1.30 pm

O’Dwyers Road and Thomsons Ford Road, Blenheim, between Old Renwick Road and Rapaura Road, between the hours of 7.00 am and 10.30 am.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Redwood Pass Road - Sunday 14 May 2017

Marlborough Car Club Redwood Pass Gravel Hill Climb

On Sunday 14 May 2017 the following road is proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the purposes of the Marlborough Car Club Redwood Pass Gravel Hill climb.

Redwood Pass Road (gravel section) from a point 4km from the intersection with SH 1 to RP 2.9km before the intersection with Castles Road.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds in writing before 16 April 2017 at the office of Marlborough Roads, Level 1, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim or PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7201.
