Market, Charles and Wynen Streets, Blenheim - Thursday 15 December 2016

Christmas Festival

On Thursday 15 December 2016 the following Blenheim streets will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 3.00 pm to 10.00 pm for the purpose of the Christmas festival.

  • Market Street – from Charles Street to High Street
  • Charles Street - from Kings Lane to Market Street
  • Wynen Street – no access to Market Street only

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

London Quay, Picton - Saturday 31 December 2016 to Sunday 1 January 2017

Picton "Ignite Marlborough" New Year's Celebrations

On Saturday 31 December 2016 the following Picton streets are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 3.00 pm to 1.00 am on Sunday 1 January 2017  for the purpose of the Picton "Ignite Marlborough" New Year's celebrations:

  • London Quay from the High Street to Wellington Street
  • Wellington Street to the northern edge of Endeavour Lane, Picton.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 3 December 2016 at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.

This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Seaview Road, Seddon - Sunday 29 January 2017

Marlborough Car Club's Annual Seaview Standing 400 sprint

On Sunday 29 January 2017 the following roads are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 8.00 am to 2.30 pm for the purpose of the Marlborough Car Club’s Annual Seaview Standing 400 sprint:

  • Seaview Road, Seddon 1.5 km past Reserve Road intersection to 1.7 km before the intersection with Flemings Road.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
