Temporary Road Closures

Sunday 25 January 2015 - Seaview Road, Seddon

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that Seaview Road, Seddon from 1.5 km past the intersection with Reserve Road to 1.7 km before the intersection with Flemings Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic on Sunday 25 January 2015 from 8.00 am to 2.30 pm for the purpose of car racing.

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Saturday 7 February 2015 - London Quay, Picton

Half Iron Man Event

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that London Quay, western end of the roundabout, junction with the High Street Picton, to the excess ramp leading to the port, will be closed to all vehicular traffic on Saturday 7 February 2015 from 6.00 am to 2.30 pm for the purpose of the Half Iron Man Event. Vehicular traffic will not be affected from entering the ramp access.

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Friday 13 February 2015

Marlborough Wine and Festival Market

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that on Friday 13 February 2015 from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm the following street are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the purpose of the Marlborough Wine and Festival Market:

  • Market Street from Main Street to High Street.
  • Charles Street from Market Street to Kings Lane
  • Arthur Street from Market Street to Kings Lane
  • Wynen Street from First Lane to Market Street.
  • The portion of Charles Street between Seymour Street through to Queen Street.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 26 January 2015 at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.

Saturday 14 February to Sunday 15 February 2015

Marlborough Wine Festival Evening

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that:

Queen Street, Blenheim from the intersection of George Street to Maxwell Road is proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic on Saturday 14 February 2015 from 1.00 pm until 3.00 am on Sunday 15 February 2015 for the purpose of the Marlborough Wine Festival Evening.

During the proposed periods of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police Traffic safety Branch.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 6 February 2015 at the office of Marlborough Roads, The forum, Market Street, (PO Box 1031) Blenheim 7240.

Sunday 22 February 2015 - Cloudy Bay Industrial Estate

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that the following roads listed within the Cloudy Bay Industrial Estate are proposed to be closed to all ordinary vehicular traffic on Sunday 22 February 2015 from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm for the purpose of the Marlborough Car Club car racing.

  • Cloudy Bay Drive
  • Chandler Close
  • Winefair Close
  • Seafair Close

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 27 January 2015 at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.

Sunday 8 March 2015 - Tuamarina Road

Marlborough Car Club sealed sprint

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is given that Tuamarina Road 1.5 km from intersection with Bush Road to the intersection with Waikakaho Valley Road is proposed to be closed to all vehicular traffic on Sunday 8 March 2015 from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm for the purpose of the Marlborough Car Club sealed sprint.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 17 February 2015, at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7240.
