Wither Hills Soil Conservation Works

17 March 2017

As part of Council’s soil conservation programme the following areas are to be aerially sprayed prior to further mechanical work and/or cultivation work:

  • Alleys paddock
  • Basin paddock
  • Grigg Drive Burn paddock
  • Northwestern face of Dungeys gully

See the maps below showing the areas to be worked.

The areas will be cordoned off with no public access during the spraying operation which is likely to be carried out early in the day when weather conditions are suitable.

Similarly when earthworks are being carried out there will be no public access through these areas to ensure the health and safety of all members of the public.

Signage will be erected at main Farm Park entrances to alert users to the work and will remain in place until the work has been fully completed. The public is urged to observe al warning signs and instructions form contractors on site.

Works will commence from mid-October 2016 and run through to autumn 2017 as required.

Council thanks the public for their cooperation.
