1. Project Information Memorandum and Building Consent Applications
Council has brochures which cover many building matters. Online copies are available below.
Please submit an application form plus an application checklist with every application.

3. Sale of Liquor
The Manager's application form comes to this council with the fee. Please complete all sections carefully. You must have had at least 200 hours experience in the industry. We must have references of any experience you have had within the liquor industry. Also you will need to have completed a course in the" Sale and Supply of Liquor?. There are a few courses available locally. Please phone our Customer Service Centre for further information. Once you have completed a course please provide us with a copy of the certificate. A copy of your application is sent to New Zealand Police for a person report. Once Police approval is granted the application will be sent to the Licensing Inspector for a recommendation that a certificate be granted. If there are no objections the complete file then proceeds to the District Licensing Agency Committee for final approval and issue of the certificate. As from 1 April 2006 you will be required to gain the "Licence Controller Qualification". 4. RMA - Policy and Plans
These forms are used if you want to make a formal submission to a resource management plan, eg; "Marlborough Sounds Resource Management Plan", or a further submission on another submission.

8. Valuation
Every three years your property will be valued by Quotable Value NZ Ltd. It is this valuation on which your rates are based. This information is available at council's offices and is also printed on your Rate Account. If you wish to object to the valuation of your property, this must be done in writing and the appropriate form is provided here.
9. Customer Service Contact
The Customer Service Contact Form can be used to request Information, provide comments and feedback or order a document. We welcome your suggestions so please use it for this purpose as well. Documents that are produced by council can be ordered with the form (prices are in the FEES section). Please remember that documents which have a charge can't be provided until payment is received.
