The Marlborough Sports & Events Centre adjacent to the Marlborough District Council's existing Aquatic Centre in central Blenheim provides a major sporting facility on one site. The multi-purpose Marlborough Stadium, as it is commonly known, incorporates facilities for squash, basketball, tennis, volleyball and various other sports, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. It is available for exhibitions, shows and various other major entertainment or social events.

Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre has two heated indoor pools, a 25m training and activity pool and a learner's pool. It also has a 50m outdoor pool that is open from December to March. Numerous swim classes and other programmes are run at the centre, catering for all ages and fitness levels. It is run by a community trust on behalf of the Council.
The Aquatic Centre's opening hours are:
- Monday - Thursday 6.00 am - 7.45 pm
- Fridays - 6.00 am - 5.45 pm
- Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays - 10.00 am - 4.45 pm
Outdoor pool hours can vary through the summer according to weather conditions.

Picton & Awatere Community Pools
The Council also provides funding for public swimming at both the Picton and Awatere Community Pools. Both pools are outdoor and are open between December and March.
The Picton Pool is located at Queen Charlotte College and is accessed from the northern end of Hampden Street, Picton. The College manages the pool, although the Council contributes funding for the provision of public swimming.

The Awatere Pool is operated by the Awatere Settlers' Association and is located at the Seddon Domain on Foster Street, Seddon.
