Temporary road closure - Picton Christmas Parade

On Sunday 6 December the following portions of the streets listed below will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm for the Picton Christmas Parade:

  • High St: Broadway to London Quay
  • Waikawa Rd: High St to Wellington St
  • Wellington St: Waikawa Rd to London Quay
  • London Quay: Wellington St to Auckland St (SH1)
  • Dublin St: High St to Auckland St (SH1)

A Rolling Closure (Police Escort) will be on Auckland St: Dublin St to the Picton Railway Station.

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is hereby given under Section 342 of the Local Government Act 1974.
