About the Hazards We Face

If we know about the hazards around us, we're better able to put the right effort in the right places to reduce the risk from those hazards. We can't stop events such as earthquakes or tsunami, but we can reduce their impact. Knowing about what to do if you live in or visit an area that is vulnerable to a tsunami, and being prepared if you need to evacuate your house because of a fire are good steps.
