Willow-leaved hakea (RPMP 2018)

Willow-leaved hakea is subject to an Eradication programme (on Rangitoto ki te Tonga/d’Urville Island) as part of the Regional Pest Management Plan 2018. On Rangitoto ki te Tonga/d’Urville Island, it has a limited distribution and is threatening the nationally unique ultramafic ecosystems.

Marlborough District Council will carry out all the control work required for this pest at no cost to the landowner. Sites are visited by biosecurity staff or contractors at regular intervals to ensure all infestations are controlled in accordance with the respective operational plan. .

Should you see this plant on Rangitoto ki te Tonga/d’Urville Island please report it immediately to the Marlborough District Council who will arrange for its control.
