Woolly nightshade (RPMP 2018)

Wooly nightshade is subject to a Sustained Control programme part of the Regional Pest Management Plan 2018. In Marlborough, it has a limited distribution on the mainland with a reasonable (yet isolated)m infestation on Rangitoto ki te Tonga/d’Urville Island.

Marlborough District Council will carry out all the control work required for this pest at no cost to the landowner. Sites are visited by biosecurity staff or contractors at regular intervals to ensure all infestations are controlled in accordance with the respective operational plan. .

Should you see this plant on Rangitoto ki te Tonga/d’Urville Island please report it immediately to the Marlborough District Council who will arrange for its control.
