Environmental Education


  • Education programmes for schools and school age children
    We have developed a number of programmes which are curriculum linked where possible.
  • Enviroschools
    A programme focused on creating more sustainable schools, which focuses on four key areas: place, programme, practices and people.
  • Sustainable Living
    The Sustainable Living programme has great ideas on how to take actions around our homes to make a positive difference for our environment.
  • Community Information
    There are a number of pamphlets to help you help the environment, from composting to natural alternatives for your home and garden.
  • Marlborough Environment Awards
    The Marlborough Environment Awards were established in the late 1990's to recognise and reward good environmental management in a range of industries and enterprises.

Sustainable Living Programme

Marlborough District Council subscribes to the Sustainable Living Programme which offers Marlborough residents an opportunity to use the on line Future Living Skills resources that cover a range of topics.

Courses are currently being piloted in Picton through Envirohub this Spring (2020) and will be held in Blenheim in the Autumn of 2021.
