Groundwater well.

As demand on our groundwater resources grows, there is increasing interest in its state and any trends over time. For example, irrigators need to know how full the aquifer they are pumping from is over summer, while Council keeps a constant watch to ensure consented limits are not exceeded.

  • Groundwater Levels

Marlborough District Council monitors the state of the region's aquifers based on water levels in its network of 30 wells spread across the district.
