Important notice to all mariners
From 21 September 2023, marine construction activities commence for the Waitohi Picton Ferry Precinct Redevelopment.
Exclusive Construction Zone
The zone gives the contractor exclusive control in this area, with no unapproved vessel entry.
Exclusive Construction Zone 1 is active from 18 September 2023. The zone will be in place 24/7 until the main wharf construction is completed.
The eastern boundary is marked with yellow buoys marked with Construction Area – Keep Out.
Precautionary Area
Identifies where there is heavy marine construction and commercial movements.
This zone will be in place until the end of marine construction. No on water markings are planned for this area.
Westshore Loadout Zone
An exclusive construction zone, where permission to enter can be granted.
Operating hours are typically 6.00 am to 7.00 pm. This zone will remain until the end of marine construction. No on water markings are planned for this area.
