As long as your needs fall within the Te Hoiere/Pelorus outcomes, we can see if we can make your ideas come to fruition. The Alliance is collaborative and works to strengths: faster alone, further together.

We want to work with the farming community, farming sector organisations and the forestry industry to make more progress on finding solutions to downstream sedimentation impacts on Te Hoiere/Pelorus Sound, and management of E. coli and nitrate pollution in parts of the catchment.

There are many ways you can be involved in restoring this special place. Contact the Project Manager now to send in your thoughts and to be included on the Project Partner and Stakeholder list for updates on project progress. In the coming months you will be able to participate in project partner and stakeholder workshops, where we will really beef out the project ‘work packages’ for each sub-catchment. There are also a number of existing community-led conservation initiatives already underway that can be built upon.

You can get involved by contacting Heli Wade at Marlborough District Council.
