Who Can Apply?
Organisations wanting to apply for funding assistance must meet the following criteria:
- Be a not-for-profit organisation, iwi group or community group.
- Provide services to the wider community or specific sectors
in the community.
- Be able to supply Annual Accounts.
- Provide verification of charitable status (if applicable).
- Account for expenditure of funds specifically for grants
received (this will affect eligibility for any future grants).
- There must be a monetary contribution from the applicant
towards the cost of the activity applied for. This can be from own funds or
grants from other sources.
- Regional/national organisations can apply on behalf of a
Marlborough group but must provide Marlborough specific costs/budget and
benefits and at least one locally-based contact person.
The Grants Committee has the discretion to decline an application which is of a similar nature to
previous funding requests, or these requests may be deemed a lower priority. Applicants are
encouraged to seek advice from the Community Partnerships team if they have any queries.
