Weld Pass Road Closures in October

Three nights of road closures are planned for 2 - 4 October for State Highway 1, Weld Pass to undertaken essential resurfacing and maintenance work.
The road will be closed in both directions between the hours of 8.00 pm to 6.00 am each night. The road will reopen at 12.00 am (midnight) to allow queued traffic through the site.
The alternative route will be via SH7 Lewis Pass and back through SH63. Please note this detour will add up to two hours to your journey time.
