Access to Wairau Diversion is closed

Access to the Wairau Diversion ( northern side of the diversion) is closed.

The damage to the riverbank has made the road unstable. Repair works are planned for Summer 2023. Council will review the opening of this road in March 2024.

Access to the Southern side of the river is still available.
