Redwood Pass road watermain to be upgraded
Work has begun on replacement of the AC watermain along Redwood Pass Road from Ugbrooke Road to Renners Road.
Project Engineer Damith Chanaka said the work was part of Council’s continuing upgrade of services and replacement of ageing infrastructure.
“The larger diameter HDPE watermains will replace the ageing AC pipes, providing better flows and improving system resilience” he said. “Lateral connections to tobies will also be replaced where needed.”
The $1.08M project will be undertaken by Simcox Construction.
The aim is to keep disruption to a minimum but there may be lane closure and shoulder closure at key times. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, with the Contractor providing up-to-date information on traffic management changes as the project progresses.
