Parker Street - Blenheim Sewer Upgrade

  • Date 9:15 AM Friday 28 May 2021
  • Type Water Works

There are two new gravity lines to be installed along Parker street between McLauchlan and Hutchenson Street.
This work is part of the upgrade that will ensure the integrity of the sewer network as Blenheim continues to grow.

The scope of works is intended to take approximately eight weeks (May to the end of July)

There will be the main sewer line that is to be installed in the southern lane of Parker street. This will be constructed under a lane closure traffic management system with traffic being able to continue eastbound from McLauchlan street.

The second main sewer line to be constructed located in the centre of Parker Street will be done so under a full road closure. The area of work will be staged throughout the street, and the compound area will move along with the pipeline construction. Vehicles will have no ability to pass through the work zone once this road closure has been implemented.
