Planning to pre-purchase a plot?
Last year the Council adopted a new bylaw so that people who wanted to purchase a burial or ashes plot ahead of time can do so (called an exclusive right of burial). The Council wants your feedback on its draft policy that covers things like which cemeteries the pre-purchase option applies to; who can make a purchase, when and how many can be pre-purchased; the cost of purchasing a plot and the demand for available space.
