Marlborough District Council rates and charges for the 2021-22 year (1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022) were set by Council on 30 June 2021.
Four rate instalment invoices are sent out each financial year.
Each instalment is one quarter of the annual rates (GST inclusive) for the current year. GST is calculated at 15%.
The annual rates assessment is sent out with the first rate instalment invoice.
* Ratepayers whose rates were due on 8 September 2021 would normally receive a penalty if they had not paid by this date.
Council decided on 6 September 2021, that any penalty will not now be incurred until Friday 8 October 2021. The extra time is designed to help those affected by the Covid lockdown, including those who were unable to come into the Council’s offices in person to pay their rates or claim a rates rebate.
