Community Consultation – WMM Plan 2021-2027

Community Consultation – Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2021-2027

What is happening?

Council is preparing to draft the next Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.

Community consultation is an important part of this process.

Feedback from the community will be used to shape the way that future waste services are brought to the region.

What is the process?

Community consultation will happen in three stages.

Stage 1 will gather information about existing waste services.

Stage 2 will look more closely at the topics you tell Council about.

Stage 3 will define the main points you want Council to consider for the next Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.

How can you take part?

Meetings will be held at the Council, or other suitable local venues.

Meetings will begin in December 2019 and will be ongoing until August 2020. Initial Stage 1 meetings are scheduled as follows:

How can we get the best out of the consultation process?

This project is a region wide initiative. People know their local communities. Share your experience and knowledge to help Council understand your community.
