Rural Community Recycling (RCR)

Council currently has RCR containers located at Grovetown, Spring Creek, Rapaura, Tuamarina, Waihopai, Awatere Valley Road, Okiwi Bay, Ohingaroa Quarry, Seddon and on the Port Underwood Road area towards Oyster Bay.
What can I put in these recycling containers?
- Plastic (1 to 7)
- Cans (steel and aluminium)
- Glass bottles/jars (clear, brown and green)
- Cardboard
- Paper (glossies, newspapers, office papers)
What shouldn't be put in the recycling containers?
- Rubbish
- Plate glass eg; windows

Service issues
Do not leave any material outside the container. If it is full then take your items away and report the issue on Freephone: 0800 355 005.
