Marlborough Roads is running drop-in sessions in August in the Marlborough Sounds for communities to meet their new maintenance contractors.
The way in which roads in the Sounds are managed and maintained changed on 1 July with three new Sounds roading maintenance contractors, each looking after a different zone.
These are Mike Edridge Contracting Limited (French Pass/Pelorus), Taylors Contracting Limited (Kenepuru) and R M Fissenden Contracting Limited (Port Underwood).
The sessions will give residents a chance to ask questions of their new contractors with representatives of Marlborough Roads also in attendance to assist with information. Council’s Solid Waste Manager Mark Lucas will also be there to discuss Remote Transfer Station sites.
The drop-in sessions are as follows:
French Pass/Pelorus
Contractor: Edridge Contracting Limited
Date: Friday 7 August
Location and time: Okiwi Bay Hall, 2pm to 3pm
Kenepuru
Contractor: Taylors Contracting Limited
Date: Wednesday 19 August
Location and time: Waitaria Bay Hall, 10.30am to 11.30am and Linkwater Hall, 2.30pm to 3.30pm
Port Underwood
Contractor: RMF Contracting Limited
Date: Friday 21 August
Location and time: Port Marlborough Pavilion Picton, 2pm to 3pm
