Proposed temporary road closure - Tuamarina-Kaituna Track Road

Marlborough Car Clubs Annual Gravel Bent Sprint

On Sunday 6 September 2026, Tuamarina - Kaituna Track Road will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic from 1km east past Gibsons Road to the Waikakaho Valley intersection (being the gravel section RP 5.580 to 8.920) between 7.30 am and 5.00 pm for the Marlborough Car Club Annual Gravel Bent Sprint.

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given under the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposal must lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before Friday 21 August 2026, at the Marlborough Roads Office, 28 Alfred Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7240.
