New playground for Renwick Domain

Renwick is set to get a new playground after Council approved funding of $200,000 for the new facility at the Renwick Domain, adjacent to the Renwick Sports Centre.

The new playground will feature an adventure squared tower, an amazon style slide set and chute, a looping plane and a kryptonite swing frame with basket, toddler and infant seat. The pieces of equipment are designed for children from two to 14 years of age.

Following consultation with the local community, the proposed play area design was selected by the Renwick Sports and Events Committee, who manage the Renwick Domain for Council.

Funded through the 2017 Land Subdivision Reserve process the new ‘traditional’ play area will complement a proposed Renwick Smart + Connected project that involves the development of a small play space of stepping stones, embedded rope, wooden posts and a tunnel, on an area to the right of the entrance to the Renwick Domain known as the ‘Village Green’.
