Shipshape and ready? Volunteers wanted

Volunteer Manager Eléna Smith with Coordinator Beryl Bowers

Enthusiastic volunteers are needed for the Tuia 250 commemorations in Picton/Waitohi when the Tuia 250 Flotilla visits from 21 to 25 November.

Tuia 250 ki Tōtaranui Volunteer Manager Eléna Smith says there are different roles to be filled.

“We need friendly locals to help us manage visitors going on board the Endeavour replica. That’s just one of a raft of other opportunities while the flotilla is based in Waitohi/Picton.

“We will need people to check tickets and look after bags and be “Ask Me” ambassadors for the weekend of Friday 22 November to Monday 25 November.”

“Our main requirement is enthusiasm and commitment,” she says.

“Volunteers will be well looked after and get to be part of Marlborough and Aotearoa’s history!”

If you can help out, give Eléna a call on 021 334 556 or email:
