Work on Wither Hills slope almost complete

Work to reduce the slope of the hill behind the Wither Hills reservoir is almost compete.

The work, which will hep protect the reservoir from potential earthquake damage, began last month and is due to be completed in the next two weeks.

Contractors are on site to cut back the slope, adjust fencing and re-align a water pipe and a section of the farm road.

Walkers, runners and mountain bikers using the Reservoir Bridge Track and Lower Farm Track off Redwood street are reminded to be aware of trucks using the tracks.

Vehicle speeds along Farm Park Road are restricted to 20km/h for park users' safety. Please move out of the way if you see trucks or heavy machinery operating.
