From Friday 22 to Sunday 24 November 2019 the following roads are proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic in Picton for the Tuia 250 commemorations:
- Friday 22 November 2019 and Sunday 24 November 2019 – London Quay from the High Street roundabout to the start of Wellington Street; Wellington Street from London Quay to Endeavour Lane.
- Saturday 23 November 2019 – London Quay from Auckland Street to Wellington Street. Wellington Street from London Quay to Endeavour Lane. High Street from Dublin Street to London Quay.
During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).
It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.
Anyone wishing to object to the proposal should lodge their objection and grounds in writing before Friday 8 November 2019 at the office of Marlborough Roads, Level 1, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim or PO Box 1031, Blenheim 7201.
