Proposed temporary road closure - Marlborough Women’s Triathlon

From 1.00 pm on Saturday 28 to 1.00 pm on Sunday 29 November the following car park and road will to be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the Marlborough Women’s Triathlon:

  • The metered car park between the pocket park on Kinross Street and the Top Town Cinema building, Blenheim. Areas not affected are the Stadium car park accessed off Redwood Street and the car parks adjacent to the Marlborough Public House which is accessed off Scott Street
  • Kinross Street, between Scott Street and Redwood Street, from 6.00 am until 1.00 pm on Sunday 29 November

During the proposed period of closure, ordinary vehicle traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch). It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicle traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal can lodge their objection in writing before 12 November 2020, at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7240.
