Marlborough Draft Economic Wellbeing Strategy 2022 - 2032

What does your future look like?
Council has developed a draft Economic Wellbeing Strategy in collaboration with:
- Industry sectors
- Marlborough regional skills and leadership group
- Investors
- Entrepreneurs
- Mentors & advisors
It's been compiled to plan and enhance Marlborough's economic future.
Vision:
‘For Marlborough to have a thriving economy balanced with a flourishing environment and vibrant communities’
About the Strategy
The last two years have been challenging for some of the industry sectors in our region and has created new business opportunities for others. Whilst Council’s TEAM group's COVID recovery plan was rolled out to support businesses through the worst of the pandemic, there are new challenges and changes are emerging for businesses, as well as entire business sectors.
This strategy is to provide insights to these challenges and opportunities, and to highlight Council’s economic development plans to support our economic sectors. The strategy also provides a vision and guidance towards the future, with a focus on improving economic wellbeing and productivity in Marlborough over the next 10 years.
