Northbank Road opens to two lanes
Northbank Road at the 2km mark is open to two lanes from today
Hydroseeding was completed this week as work on the site winds down following the June/July weather event
“Three new culverts still need to be installed and the section of road where the slip damaged the surface, prepared and then resealed. This will be done under temporary traffic management with some minor delays,” Mr Murrin said.
Works will continue from Tuesday 4 November between 7am and 6pm to reinstate the road and install the culverts.
“It’s still possible that we could have up to 30-minute delays between 9am and 4pm to get that work completed. This will be managed under stop/go controls. The aim is to have the site fully completed by Friday 14 November.”
There are several sites further along Northbank Road past the 2km mark which still require repairs. A programme for these sites will be confirmed in November.
If there are any changes or if the road is deemed unsafe and closed, an update will be sent via Antenno and the Council’s website.
