SH1 closures south of Weld Pass on Tuesday 8 September

Due to a crash on SH1 Weld Pass this morning, urgent emergency work to remove slip material on SH1 at Dazzle Corner, 500m south of the Weld Pass summit, has been delayed until later this morning. Closures will now be in place from 11am to 12pm, 12:30pm to 1:30pm & 2pm to 3pm today. In between these closures the road will be under Stop/Go traffic management to let traffic through. A 30 km/h temporary speed will be in place.

SH1 at Dazzle Corner, 500m south of the Weld Pass summit, will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 8 September from 9am to 10am, 10:30am to 11:30am & 12pm to 1pm when contractors will complete urgent emergency works to remove slip material.
In between these closures the road will be under Stop/Go traffic management to let traffic through. A 30 km/h temporary speed will be in place. Plan your journey accordingly and avoid travel during these times.
