Port Underwood Road – Karaka Point to Whatamango Bay
On Tuesday 3 November as part of the Marlborough Roads Recovery Project, construction closures will be on Port Underwood Road, midway between Karaka Point and Whatamango Bay. Works are planned for the construction of a retaining wall and associated drainage works followed by road reinstatement.
The closures will be in place from Tuesday 3 November until mid-December, on Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 12pm, 12.30pm to 2.30pm, 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
Road users are urged to be mindful that it can take time to clear traffic during the openings, as the road will be open to one lane at time.
Works will occur outside of these dates and times, and during the 2.30pm to 3.30pm opening under stop/go traffic management with delays of up to 15 minutes.
Please note closures are subject to weather conditions which may affect the start and end date. If the closure timings should change, an Antenno will be sent.
Emergency services will always be accommodated.
Refer to the Smart Map for the closure location and information on other road closures.
Please contact the Marlborough Roads Recovery Team if you have any questions about these works.
