Kenepuru Road Closures

As we move towards the busy summer season, the way in which the Kenepuru Road Global Closure operates is changing.
From Linkwater to Portage, the closure will pause from 3.30pm, Friday 16 October.
There will be no planned construction closures in place on this section of road, until Tuesday 9 February 2027.
Closures are planned to remain in place from Portage Heights to Kenepuru Heads until Friday 18 December at the following days and times:
- Monday to Thursday, from 8am to 12pm and 12.30pm to 5pm
- Fridays, from 8am to 12pm and 12.30pm to 3.30pm
Works under stop/go traffic management will continue to operate outside of closures, with delays of up to 15 minutes.
Closures on side roads will follow the same dates and operating times as the section of Kenepuru Road they connect to.
Emergency services will always be accommodated.
If the location or timings of the closure should change, an Antenno will be sent.
